How to Apply Your Press-Ons for Long-Lasting Wear

Achieving a durable and beautiful set of press-on nails starts with understanding the proper application technique. Follow these steps to ensure your nails stay put and look stunning for weeks to come.

       Phase 1: Preparation

                              ✨ Sanitize:

Wash hands with oil-free soap and dry thoroughly. Any natural oils on the nail will prevent the glue from bonding.

                     ✨ Push Back Cuticles:

Use a wooden or metal cuticle pusher to gently push back the skin. If the press-on sits on the skin rather than the nail bed, it will lift within days.

                      ✨Buff the Surface:

Use a fine-grit buffer to lightly remove the shine from the natural nail. This creates "grip" for the adhesive.

                         ✨ Dehydrate:

Wipe each nail with an alcohol prep pad or pure acetone. This removes any remaining dust or oils.

 Phase 2: Sizing & Application

 ✨Dry Run:

Before applying any glue, size all 10 press-ons to ensure a perfect fit. If a nail is between sizes, opt for the smaller one or gently file the sides of the larger one for a seamless look.

✨ Prep the Press-on:

For an extra strong hold, lightly buff the underside of the press-on tip where it will touch your nail.

✨The "Double Glue" Technique:

Apply a thin, even layer of high-quality brush-on nail glue to your natural nail, and a small drop to the underside of the press-on.

✨ The 45-Degree Angle:

Align the press-on at your cuticle line and gently press it down at a 45-degree angle. Hold firmly for 30-60 seconds to ensure a secure bond.

                                                                             🌸 Smart Aftercare:

✨ The Golden Rule: Avoid water, hot showers, swimming, or heavy cleaning for at least 1 hour (but 8 hours is even better) after application to let the glue fully cure.

✨ Be Gentle: Your press-ons are jewelry, not tools. Avoid using them to open cans, scrape labels, or type with the tips instead of the pads of your fingers.

✨Maintenance: Carry your glue with you. If a corner starts to lift, add a tiny drop of glue immediately, press, and hold.
